But more than his eclectic skillset sets him apart. He is a renaissance man with interests that range from wrestling to short story writing. When reflecting on her time in the program, Dayelin credits the instructors, mentors, students and staff with helping her reach her career goals. UNC MAC PROGRAM DIRECTOR PROFESSIONAL“Career services was such a huge help with my ultimate decision in joining Deloitte, and without their help, I wouldn’t have been able to really improve my professional skills.” “They were able to help me work through my networking skills, enhance my resume and advise me in my career path,” she shared. Once in the program, Dayelin participated in the structured recruiting process run by the program’s Career Services team and landed a position with Deloitte in Charlotte, NC. With a desire to round out her professional skillset, Dayelin decided to pursue both the Audit and the Financial Analysis & Reporting concentrations offered by UNC MAC. “The UNC MAC program offered a master’s degree without the need to have an accounting background or prerequisites, and it offered a flexible online program that fit my wild schedule,” she said. “My Junior year, I spoke with the director of the UNC MAC program and was given guidance on how I could make the program fit for me, and the many opportunities having a MAC degree could offer me,” said Dayelin.Īfter finding out that she was expecting her now three-year-old son, Dayelin realized that the online format for the MAC degree was the best choice for her and her growing family. Having participated in the MAC Mentorship program while receiving her bachelors, Dayelin knew the return on investment that she would get from obtaining a UNC MAC degree.
